Wall of Fame...'Survivor Networking & Awards Luncheon'

To encourage, support and publicly acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and many important contributions of individuals who work in the survivorship movement, NECCS has established five awards which it bestows annually to nominated recipients during its Survivor Networking & Awards Luncheon.  This year's luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, November 6th and will be held at the Wellesley College Club in Wellesley, MA.  The time and other details are being determined. 

Nominations are being accepted now through Friday, October 17th, 2010!      

To make a nomination:

  1. Compose a 400 - 800 word narrative describing your nominee and why he or she is being nominated.
  2. Include your nominee's name, address, phone # and the name of the award.
  3. Include your name, address and phone #.
  4. Submit via e-mail to: info@neccs.org (please do not include an attachment, instead include the information in the body of the e-mail) or submit to: NECCS attn: award nominations, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA  01701. **all nominations that are not e-mailed must be received at NECCS in Framingham on or before October 17th** 

You will be notified if your nominee has been selected to receive an award.

Awards

NECCS Janice McGrath Survivor of the Year Award - in recognition of the extraordinary inspiration imparted on others through the course of the recipient’s journey as a cancer survivor.

NECCS Lorin Lavidor Personal Caregiver of the Year Award - in recognition of compassion and support as well as dedication to the spirit of cancer survivorship.

NECCS Alice Rosemarie Dawn Volunteer of the Year Award - in recognition of  remarkable commitment and dedication to cancer survivors and the mission of the New England Coalition for Cancer Survivorship.

NECCS Health Care Professional Award - in recognition of outstanding commitment to the issues of cancer survivorship.

NECCS Outstanding Achievement Award - in recognition of endeavors to improve the quality of life for all cancer survivors.
