Wall of Fame...'Survivor Networking & Awards Luncheon 2010'

Thank you to all of our members, friends of NECCS,and our keynote speaker Jane Marshall, Mrs. Massachusetts 2010, who all helped to make our luncheon a success again in 2010.  Congratulations also to our outstanding award recipients for their important contributions to cancer survivorship.

The Survivor Networking & Awards Luncheon is a place to to encourage, support and publicly acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and many important contributions of individuals who work in the survivorship movement. NECCS has established awards which it bestows annually to selected nominated recipients during its Survivor Networking & Awards Luncheon.  The 2010 luncheon was held on Saturday, November 6th at the Wellesley College Club in Wellesley, MA.  

NECCS Janice McGrath Survivor of the Year Award - recognizes a cancer survivor who has imparted extraordinary inspiration to others on the cancer journey.   Congratulations to 2010 recipient Peter Devereaux!

NECCS Lorin Lavidor Personal Caregiver of the Year Award - honors someone who has provided outstanding care and support for you or someone you know during the course of treatment/illness. This award recognizes a caregiving hero.  Congratulations to 2010 recipients: The Horowitz Family!

NECCS Health Care Professional Award - honors a professional who has shown outstanding support to patients/survivors. This could be a doctor, nurse, social worker or any professional who goes above and beyond to help those on the cancer journey.  Congratulations to 2010 recipients: Barbara Shea Civiello, MD & Robin Luczek, RN - both of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.

NECCS Outstanding Achievement Award - recognizes an individual or group whose dedication and efforts have significant impact on the issues that cancer survivors and their loved ones face.  Congratulations to 2010 recipient: Joanne Seneta!
